You've tried to figure it out. The same patterns keep showing up anyway.
I'm Heather, a psychologist on the Central Coast. I work with adults who are ready to understand the patterns shaping their relationships, their self-worth, and their emotional life — and to build something different.
Who I work With
I work with adults who sense that something in their past is shaping their present — in their relationships, their sense of self, or the way they move through the world.
Many of my clients are navigating relational or attachment trauma. Some are parents — new or seasoned — finding that having children has stirred up things they didn't expect. Others are simply stuck in patterns they can't seem to shift, no matter how hard they try.
I have a particular interest in working with people experiencing PMDD and cyclical mood conditions, and those navigating life with ADHD or in relationship with someone who has ADHD.
You don't need to have it all figured out before you reach out. You just need to be ready to look a little deeper.
About Me
Hello!I'm Heather Fox, a registered psychologist based on the Central Coast. I've been working with adults for over a decade, and the thread running through all of it is the same — helping people understand where their patterns come from, and building something different in their place.
I'm warm, I have a sense of humour, and I'll be honest with you. I'll support you through the hard parts but I'll also gently challenge you — because I think that's what real therapeutic relationships do.
I draw on Schema Therapy, EMDR, and psychodynamic approaches, and I work with each person as an individual rather than applying a formula.
Based in Ettalong Beach and Erina with telehealth available Australia-wide.

The first session is a chance for us to get to know each other. We'll talk about what's brought you to therapy, what you're hoping to change, and whether we feel like a good fit. There's no pressure to have everything figured out before you arrive.
-
This varies from person to person. Some people come for a focused period of 8-12 sessions. Others find longer term work more helpful. We'll discuss this together and review it as we go.

That's completely normal. I offer a free 15-minute phone consultation so you can get a sense of whether we'd be a good fit before committing to anything.
